Dr Nitin Gupta

Psychiatrist

Dr Nitin Gupta specializes in: Psychotherapies/Counselling, Liaison Psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine, Marital and Psychosexual Issues. He has vast Clinical Experience in Psychiatry of over 25 years. He is a Gold Medalist from PGIMER and served as Faculty in PGIMER, GMCH-32 and NHS, United Kingdom (UK).

From 2012 to 2019, he worked as Professor of Psychiatry in Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32 (GMCH-32), Chandigarh,  with additional charge of Medical Superintendent, Mental Health Institute, GMCH-32, Chandigarh (a Rehabilitation set-up).

He also has overseas experience of working in the UK (National Health Service-NHS) as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Additionally, he served as Honorary Visiting Lecturer at Staffordshire University, and expert member of South Staffordshire Local Research and Ethics Committee.

Dr Gupta is a prolific writer, with over 200 scientific publications and has also co-authored six books on mental health. He also holds Editorial level positions (in different capacities) for various important journals like: World Social Psychiatry; BJPsych Bulletin; Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, Indian Journal of Social Psychiatry, Indian Journal of Private Psychiatry, Indian Journal of Psychiatry.
